“PUBLIC BENEFIT ORGANISATION” STATUS

On 3rd October 2007, the Nkomazi Community Trust was officially recognised by the South African Revenue Service (SARS) as a “Public Benefit Organisation” (PBO).

PBO recognition provides the Trust with full tax exemption status, as well as making all donations and contributions into the Trust tax exempt. The Trust is now authorized to issue Section 18A Tax Deductible Receipts to each of its donors, which will effectively reduce the tax liability of the company or individual by the full value of their donation to the Trust.
